Course Description
The MSc in Finance will help you develop your knowledge of finance and financial management concepts as related to different organisations and sectors, where the programme is accredited by the Chartered Financial Analysis Institute. This gives you a platform for careers in the areas of finance or financial fields including business, government and major international organisations.
Financial Analysis and Investment, financial statements, strategic financing management, financial modelling the structure of processes everything in organizational decision-making to understand how finance is central. Study Method
100% of the MSc Finance degree is delivered online through University of Leicester distance learning. As a distance learning student, you will be guided throughout the course by an academic mentor and module tutors from your support team. You will be using module study books – in both hard copy and electronic versions– as well as Blackboard, our online learning platform. They will provide you with online resources for each module, there are discussion boards hosted by the tutors of each module and a chat room where other students can network.
As a distance learning student, you will be able to access the University’s electronic service, Leicester Digital Library which contains plenty of e-journals and e-books.
You will be marked at the end of each module, which is through a written assignment that ranges between 300 to 4,0 words normally. 15,000-word dissertation is your last piece of work.

Entry Requirements
- A good second-class honours degree from a British University or an equivalent
- Or a diploma from an accredited institution.
- Relevant qualification at the graduate level and work experience.
If you do not possess a relevant qualification but are able to demonstrate more than three years of substantial work experience in finance they will look for your CV and personal statement of 50 words that detail more about yourself as well as the type of suitable work fetching.
